Tiny-R School of Art & Design is Heijeu Arts' premier teaching artist program, bringing professional, accessible art education to communities across Minnesota—especially rural areas where arts access is limited.

Heidi Jeub

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota (1999) and a Master of Professional Studies in Arts & Cultural Leadership (2017). Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, bookbinding, collage, and public art.

Heidi teaches from lived experience—discovering how visual thinking transformed her own learning and emotional processing. Her programs are built on the belief that everyone can access creative thinking, and that this access can be transformative.

With 15+ years of teaching experience in Minnesota schools and afterschool programs, Heidi's approach combines academic rigor with joyful exploration, prioritizing creative confidence and authentic self-expression.

Painting & Visual Journaling

Breanna Rhodes

Breanna graduated from Saint Cloud State University in 2023 with a BFA in 2D Media and minors in Art History and Psychology. She completed two internships at Bruno Press and has been teaching printmaking independently for over 3 years.

Breanna loves combining pop culture with painting and printmaking, and brings infectious energy and accessibility to every class she teaches. Her approach makes printmaking feel approachable and fun, whether you're a complete beginner or refining your skills.

Heather holds a BA in Theatre and has worked as a theatre artist and educator for 16+ years, creating engaging experiences for participants of all ages and abilities. Drawing on her background in theatre, storytelling, improvisation, and creative making, she helps participants discover the characters and stories waiting to emerge from everyday materials.

Heather believes creativity begins with curiosity and play. Her workshops celebrate imagination, sustainability, and the confidence that comes from transforming something ordinary into something wonderfully unexpected!

Sandra has a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (Graphic Design emphasis) from St. Cloud State University with 40+ years working in watercolor. She has expertise across painting, drawing, graphic design, bookbinding, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, and photography

Sandra is a devoted advocate for arts accessibility. With four decades of watercolor experience and a diverse artistic practice, she brings both technical skill and genuine warmth to every workshop. Her teaching philosophy centers on demystifying art — showing that anyone can make beautiful work, regardless of prior experience. She creates spaces where creativity is playful, pressure is absent, and discovery is the only goal.

Charlene Ridlon is a professional pastel artist with deep expertise in color theory, blending techniques, and helping artists at all levels discover their voice with pastels. With 30 years of experience, Charlene brings both technical mastery and genuine encouragement to every workshop.

Her approach honors both beginners exploring pastels for the first time and experienced artists refining their practice. Charlene believes pastels are an accessible, joyful medium for creative expression at any age.
