The Tiny School of Art & Design Brings Big Creativity to New Communities This Summer

Now Accepting Nominations for Free Pop-Up Art Experiences—Made Possible by the Central Minnesota Arts Board

St. Cloud, MN — The Tiny School of Art & Design is thrilled to announce a new opportunity for communities across Central Minnesota to host a free, high-quality pop-up art experience during Summer 2025. With support from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, three new community clusters will be selected to receive a joyful, inclusive, and fully-equipped creative event that invites people of all ages and abilities to explore the power of artistic expression.

Known for its portable art studio complete with unique supplies like drawing horses and a posing throne, the Tiny School offers everything from watercolor painting to plein-air drawing—all guided by a team of skilled, community-minded teaching artists. Each pop-up will be tailored to the selected community’s needs and themes, creating an unforgettable arts experience that fosters creative play, experimentation, and connection.

“We believe that everyone deserves access to creativity and self-expression,” says Heidi Jeub, Director of the Tiny School of Art & Design. “Thanks to the Central Minnesota Arts Board, we’re excited to bring our joyful, non-prescriptive approach to communities we haven’t yet had the chance to work with.”

The nomination process is now open and applications must be submitted by July 1, 2025. Selected events must take place between July 7 and September 7, 2025, and are limited to organizations or groups that have not partnered with the Tiny School of Art & Design within the past two years.
