Artist Retreat in a Day (adults)
Do you love connecting with other artists and creatives? Looking to give yourself the gift of time, inspiration, and playful exploration? Join us for a full-day retreat designed to refresh your creative spirit and build connections with a lively group of makers.
From sketchbook creation to mixed-media exploration, this one-day experience blends relaxation, experimentation, and meaningful conversation. 12–1pm — Lunch at a local restaurant near the art center
1–4pm — Create a series of artworks using a variety of materials and discuss the final selection process
Take a day to reconnect—with your creativity, your community, and yourself.

Creative Sampler
Creative Sampler—youth 8-12 years old
Creative Sampler is the perfect way to dive into the world of making—and an open invitation to rediscover your creativity! Instructor, Heidi Jeub, spent nearly half a century turning ideas into art, and this 6-week class is designed to share both the technical skills and the creative philosophy that keep the process fresh, fearless, and fun.
Each session blends skill-building with playful experimentation. You’ll learn foundational techniques in drawing, painting, printmaking, and collage while developing your own voice through a mix of guided exercises and personal projects. Together, we’ll make a hardbound journal, explore color and composition through Gelli prints and mixed-media studies, and finish by creating a small art series of your choice—on canvas, paper, or as a handmade book.
Schedule Overview
Weeks 1–2: Make your own hardbound visual journal
Weeks 3–4: Drawing, painting, Gelli prints, and collage
Weeks 5–6: Create your own mini art series
This class is ideal for curious beginners and seasoned makers alike. It’s a space to play, take creative risks, and connect with a community of fellow explorers.
Class size 4–12 participants. Tuition is $250 for 6 weeks; all materials are provided.

Art For Change: Lino Art Making Event
Join us for a powerful afternoon of art-making and solidarity as we create linocut prints standing with our neighbors and demanding justice for all community members.
Linocut printmaking is a historic tool of resistance—from labor movements to civil rights struggles, artists have carved their truths into linoleum and pressed them into permanence. In this workshop, we continue that tradition.
No experience necessary. All materials provided, however if you want to print on clothing or any fabric, bring your own items. All ages and abilities welcome.
Together, we'll:
Learn basic linocut carving techniques (using soft speedy plates)
Create individual prints with messages of solidarity and support
Share our work and amplify our collective voice
Take home prints to post, share, or gift (Paper and ink is supplied, please bring clothing or fiber items if desired.)
Art has always been a tool for change.
Your voice matters. Your neighbors matter. Your art matters.
Free but Donations accepted.
Supplies are provided by Heijeu Arts
Space provided by B-Side Indie Music Cafe
If you would like to help with this event through material donations, we have put together a wishlist for ink and plates. Shipping location is available on the wishlist.

Create. Connect. Support Local.
Friday, February 13 | 6:00-8:00 PM
B-Side Indie Music Cafe, St. Cloud
What is an Artist Cash Mob?
In times of social distress and uncertainty, artists have always gathered to create, process, and support one another. An Artist Cash Mob brings together creative people to make art, build community, and support local businesses—all at once.Think of it as a creative flash mob with intention: we descend on a local business, order food and drinks, make art together, and leave having strengthened both our creative community and our local economy.
How It Works:
Bring your sketchbook or a small art project. Order some food or drink. Enjoy community.
No agenda. No instruction. Just artists making art in the same space, at the same time, for the same reason: Because we need each other.
Why Now?
Because the world feels heavy. Because artists need each other. Because local businesses need us. Because making art together is resistance, resilience, and renewal all at once.
We're not waiting for things to get better. We're creating the connection we need, right now, together.
