Our Narrative Youth Workshop

  • The Whit Gallery 505 West Saint Germain Street St. Cloud, MN, 56301 United States (map)

Are you creative and interested in history? Come dive into the archives of the Stearns Museum, make art and music, and share your own story!

Teaching Artists Heidi Jeub, Terrell X (aka Carnage The Executioner), and Hibaaq Ibrahim, along with special guests, will team up with the knowledgeable and historically-passionate staff of the Stearns Museum. We will explore the archives (which is cooler than one may think), think about history and where OUR stories land in that history! We will make visual art, write and create music.

This workshop will be fun-filled, exploratory, and dynamic! Youth will be able to explore the gallery, archives and artwork on display, while learning about research, archiving stories, and where “gaps” are in our understanding of history today.
