Everyday People Sketch Night

Practice & Connect

Come join us for a night of sketching folks from our community.

Everyday People Sketch Night is a weekly gathering of artists, of all levels! An “Everyday Person” is our model for 3-15 minute poses, based on their comfort and experience.

Participants use the “drawing horses” for a comfortable way to sketch the model, but can also bring an easel or table if they want to sketch in a different position. Art supplies are provided by Heijeu Arts (Tiny School of Art & Design) but participants can bring their own.

Refreshments will be available, thanks to generous sponsors.

How To Draw Workshops, with Heidi Jeub, will be scheduled on February 8, March 14, April 18, May 2 from 5:30 - 6:30pm, right before Everyday People Sketch Night at 7pm!

You will learn how to use some tools and materials, through contour drawing and shading. You will discover your own style with guidance from a seasoned professional!

Sketching should be freeing and expressive so that you can do it quickly and have fun! It’s our goal to find ways to be successful even with mistakes (pro-tip: no one will know you made a mistake ;) )

Location: Rainbow Wellness Collective

Pre-registration required.

Become a Model

If you’d like to be one of our models, let us know! We offer a stipend. You will be expected to pose for 1-12 minutes, share a bit about yourself, and provide some images for promotion of the event. You are asked to provide a headshot and short bio via email, and we will add you to the list of Everyday People for future dates.

We love knowing you have these events on your calendar! While you can drop in to almost all of our events, we do encourage you to preregister for Everyday People and How To Draw Workshops!
